All St Louis Taxicabs are independently operated under different cab management companies and regulated by Metropolitan Taxicab Commission (MTC.)
For your protection, all St Louis Taxicabs are equipped with meters and have special yellow Missouri Taxicab license plates. All drivers are licensed by MTC.
St Louis cab drivers undergo background and criminal checks, get finger-printed, possess outstanding driving records, pass physical and drug tests, understand and speak English, and most importantly, understand what's most important to you.
Please allow for at least 10-15 minutes for the cab to get to you. We highly recommend placing time orders for important trips to make sure that you will have a taxi when you need it.

For example, a ride from Downtown St Louis to Lambert Airport for one person is about $34.00. For three passengers it would be $36.00.
To estimate a fare, you take the number of miles from Google Maps and you round it up to the nearest mile. First mile is $4.30. Each additional mile is $2.00.
Since the distance from Downtown to Lambert is about 15 miles, then we have 1 mile @ $4.30 and 14 miles @ $2.00. This gives us a sum of $32.30 for mileage.
We have to add $1.00 for gas service charge to the sum for mileage to get the total fare. Therefore, the fare comes to $34.00 for one person (cab drivers don't have coin change.)
